SD5 went with Destiny because it was web based (meaning you can access it from any where) The cataloging side allowed for advanced cataloging which John Kaps does for his videos and it was unlimited space for summaries and tags including subjects. It also was linked to Alliance + which is Follett's marc records which we can download for free. This database holds many records which saves times on cataloging. The search side was easy to get around in and seemed basic for the kids needs it showed a picture of the books cover and gave a brief
summary. The cost of Destiny was in our price range and less than Dynix which was our old system. The yearly service fee was also cheaper than some others that we looked at. As for the district they liked the fact that it came with a textbook side so the library could take over all the textbooks.
